Petra Goes to Greece follows the adventures of Petra, a five-year-old Greek-Australian girl, as she journeys with her family to Greece to reconnect with her heritage. The story is filled with vivid depictions of Greek landscapes, customs, and family moments, fostering cultural pride and curiosity among young readers.

About the Author…

Nadia Bourboulas is a Greek Australian first time children’s book author based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

The daughter of parents, whose parents were first generation Greek migrants, she prioritises visiting Greece regularly to maintain her connection to her culture and extended family.

Most recently, Nadia and her immediate family, travelled through the mainland of Greece and the islands for three months, where they spent time drinking Greek coffee and eating too much lamb souvlaki in Amorgos, Arahova, Athens, Chios, Crete, Hydra, Limnos, Meteora, Naxos, Paros, Piraeus and Syros.

Nadia is an advocate of parents encouraging their children to maintain a connection to their family’s county of origin and cultural heritage. She a qualified Speech and Drama Teacher and Corporate Communications Professional by trade.

Nadia dedicates this book to her husband and their daughter, Petra, who have together travelled to Greece four times in the past five years.
