THE NEW SHOP

Have you moved?

Yes we have! We are now at shop 4/77 Oxford Street - just past Memorial Park.

Is the shop smaller?

The new shop is a little smaller but we still have the great range of books that you’re accustomed to.

Do you still have a cafe?

We no longer have a cafe, but we do have Ollie’s downstairs! They’re amazing, and we highly recommend them.

Are Suzy and the old staff still around?

Riverbend is now a part of the Avid family, but the Riverbend staff are all still present and accounted for! Suzy Wilson is still around and you’re likely to see her in store next time you come to visit!

Are you happy?

Yes we are happy! We love the new space and all of our new neighbours; we’re closer to the ferry for those who wish to visit from elsewhere, and it’s lovely to be able to sit in the park and read!

SHIPPING

We deliver our products using Australia Post. Shipping costs are a flat rate of $9, or you can select express post for $14. Postage costs will be added to the order total before checkout. Orders are dispatched within 2 business days. Shipping times are estimated at between 5 and 10 business days, depending on your location.

Express shipping is free on orders over $100.

Shipping is free for all physical vouchers.

If you’d like to receive a gift voucher via email, it can take up to 24 hours to process, as our team are required to manually create the voucher.

Do you do ship internationally?

Yes! Unfortunately, international shipping is not integrated into our system. If you choose to post internationally, you can select international shipping from the shipping menu; we will then contact you with a shipping quote, which we can take payment for via PayPal, Eway (our credit card merchant), or over the phone. International shipping costs depend on the location.

ORDERS

It says you have 0 in stock but I can still order the book.

Yes, we allow our customers to buy books we no longer have in stock. We will backorder the book for you, pending availability, and will send an update via email to let you know how long the book will take to arrive. If the book is not available, we will send you a refund.

If you’ve backordered a book for me, how long will it take?

Generally, a backorder will take 7-10 business days to arrive. You will receive a notification once it arrives; you can then either collect your book if you chose click & collect, or keep an eye out for the tracking notification if you chose to have your book posted.

It says there’s 0 in stock but I can’t order the book.

RETURNS

Riverbend Books acts in compliance with Queensland Consumer Law. If you've purchased something in store or online and you change your mind (or you find a copy already in your to be read pile), we are happy to give you an exchange or full credit if you return it within 21 days and the item is in unused, as new condition.

If there is a manufacturing/printing problem with your purchase that we missed, we can give you a replacement, offer a full credit, or refund.  In this case we will only offer a cash refund if you originally paid in cash.

Please keep your proof of purchase e.g. your receipt.

All transactions are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
