The food we put on our plates impacts hugely on the farmers that produce it, on our health and on the environment. With chapters such as simle suppers, feeding children and getting ahead in the kitchen, Vanessa Kimbell helps us navigate tricky issues such as local vs organic and learn how to: care for the planet, support fair trade, cut down on food waste, reduce rubbish and enjoy meals made from scratch so you know exactly what's in them.
Vanessa Kimbell runs the Juniper and Rose Kitchen Garden School in Northamptonshire, where she teaches sourdough breadmaking classes. A regular BBC radio journalist, she is a third generation baker of Italian descent and trained in several French bakeries. Her first book, Prepped!, was published in 2011.
